Committee Ministries

Committee Minstries
Our local church leadership includes the following committees with the Church Council and the Annual All Church Conference as our leading body. 

 

Staff-Parish Relations Committee Confer and counsel with the Pastor and staff on matters pertaining to their relationship with the congregation, including priorities to be given in the use of their time and skills in relation to the goals and objectives set for the congregation’s mission. Members serve for 3 years and may serve an additional term of 3 years. Meets monthly on the 1st Wednesday at 5:30 pm in the Conference Room (Room 16).

Nominations and Lay Leadership
The charge of this committee is to identify, develop, deploy, evaluate, and monitor Christian spiritual leadership for the local congregation. Members of the committee shall engage in and be attentive to developing and enhancing their own Christian spiritual life in light of the mission of the Church. Members can serve only for 3 years. Meets as needed.

Finance Committee
Compiles annually a complete budget for the church. Develops and implements plans to raise sufficient funds to meet the budget adopted by the church council. Administer the funds received according to instructions from the church council. Meets monthly on 2nd Thursday at 10:15 am in the Conference Room (Room 16).

Board of Trustees
This committee is the official legal entity of our church. It is responsible for the physical plant of the church. This includes the general maintenance, repair, and landscaping. Members serve 3 years. Meets monthly on the 2nd Thursday at 6 pm in the Conference Room (Room 16).

Church Council
Provides for the planning and implementing of a program of nurture, outreach, witness, and resources and for the administration of the church’s organizational and temporal life.  The Church Council functions as the executive agency of the church. Meets monthly on the 3rd Thursday at 7 pm in the Conference Room (Room 16).

Memorial Committee
Assists families in making special gifts to the Church as a memorial dedicated for specific uses within the Church in honor/memory of a family member. Meets as needed.

Endowment Committee
The Endowment Fund is a fund maintained to provide income in perpetuity, or for a designated term, for the general or restricted use by the Church. The principal is invested, and unless otherwise specified by the terms of a gift, only the interest income may be spent. Meets as needed.
