Finance Committee
\nCompiles annually a complete budget for the church. Develops and implements plans to raise sufficient funds to meet the budget adopted by the church council. Admin ister the funds received according to instructions from the church council . Meets monthly on 2nd Wednesday at 10 am.
\nT his committee is the official legal entity of our church. It is responsib le for the physical plant of the church. This includes the general mainte nance\, repair\, and landscaping. Members serve for 3 years. Meets monthl y on 2 Thursday at 6:30 pm.
\nMembers from the Atwater United Methodist Church volunteer t o serve meals at the “D” Street Shelter in Merced\, California. Our member s arrive at the Shelter at 5:30 to prepare the meal and then serve the mea l at 6 pm. It is a period of serving the community and have great fellows hip with of the team members.
\nThis is an opportunity to help children learn about Jesus and his love for them. Teachers and parent helpers for 1st through 5 th Grade join together to build a foundation of Godly character in children through Bible stories\, drama\, music\, and age-appropriate B ible lessons.

Our youth ministry team offers relevant programs an d events that connect students into relationships with Christ and one anot her. Lead a small group\, create an event\, be a builder of dreams.
\n< p> \nThis team is responsible for providing classes where adults can mature in faith through Bible Study. Classes are held Sundays at 8:30 am and Mond ays at 7 pm.
\nThe Worship Committee meets quarterly or as needed on the 1s t Wednesday of the month.
\nOur Wednesday Bible Study group is currently studying the bo ok of Mark. The group meets in room 16.
\nChurch work day is a day when members volunteer their time a nd labor to maintain or improve church building and grounds. This service is organized by the UM Men’s group. Women are welcome to help.
\nStaff Parish Relations Committee meeting (SPRC). This meetin g is closed and is only on the calendar as a reminder for members of the c ommittee.
\nThe clothing closet is a place where volunteers organize don ated clothing and other items to provide for those with immediate needs. T his service is organized by the UM Women’s group UWIF.
\nNo meeting for November and December 2025.
\nUnited Methodist Women
\nA comm unity of women of the church whose purpose is to know God and to experienc e freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ\; to develop a creative\, supportive fellowship\; and to expand concepts of mission through particip ation in the global ministries of the Church. Meetings are in the Firesid e Room at 10 am on the last Saturday of the month.
\nThis meeting is to continue the discussion of moving toward a single board leadership model. Meeting will be in room 16.

\nThis Barbeque is an end of summer celebration. All welcome. Bring your favorite dish to share with us.
\nThe Church Council meets on the odd months of the year or as needed.
\nThe blessing of the animals will take place on the Linden St reet side of the parish (in front of the offices).
\nThis event is open for everyone\, please see the flyer on ou r list of events. Fun\, food\, crafts\, friends\, bounce house\, balloon t wister for the twister.
\nBring your Bible to have them blessed during service.
\nThis event will be held in the parking lot on the Bellevue s ide of the parish. Please\, call the office to sign up your trunk space. T his event is free and open to the public.
